BREAKING NEWS: 3 IARA 2017 NOMINATIONS FOR TEAM FERAL

We are delighted to announce that My Feral Heart has been nominated for 3 IARA Awards 2017:

BEST FEATURE / INDIE FILM (Jane Gull)
BEST YOUNG ACTRESS (Shana Swash)
BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY (Duncan Paveling)

Winners will be announced at the award ceremony on September 2, 2017.

This is the 3rd nomination for Shana for her portrayal of ‘Eve’ in My Feral Heart, after nominations at both the British Independent Film Awards & National Film Awards UK.

This is the 2nd nomination for Duncan’s screenplay, the first being a long-list nomination at the British Independent Film Awards.

Six of the ‘Best’? My Feral Heart has already received 5 awards in the ‘Best Feature Film’ category: Lift-Off Season Awards 2016 (Global), Breaking Down Barriers 2016 (Russia), Tirana International Film Festival 2016 (Albania – Panorama Section), Fargo Film Festival 2016 (USA – Honorable Mention), and Cinequest 2016 (USA – Audience Vote).

The ‘Best Feature’ nod is particularly satisfying. While IARA have chosen to nominate Jane, ‘Best Feature’ awards recognise the collective talents, efforts, and success of the entire cast and crew of a film. We are up against stiff opposition with Amma Assante’s A United Kingdom also nominated in this category, but if the film does win the ‘Best Feature’ it will be because of the entire creative and production team. Thank you one and all!

The IARA Awards (International Achievement Recognition Awards) highlights outstanding talents, laudable initiatives and recognise the hard work of those in Theatre, Music, Films/TV and the Fashion industry. This annual prestigious award ceremony was founded in 2014, aimed at celebrating exceptional talents and organisations for excellence, diversity, equality and innovations.

Well done Shana, Duncan, Jane, and all other Ferals… And good luck!

Breaking News: WORLD PREMIERE ANNOUNCED

We are delighted to share the news that ‘My Feral Heart’ has been selected for the Cinequest Film Festival 2016 in California as part of its Official Narrative Feature Competition. Last year Cinequest was voted ‘America’s Best Film Festival’ so it is a huge honour to be included in this year’s competition.

Cinequest runs from March 1-13 in San Jose (Silicon Valley) and our World Premiere has been given a prime time Saturday night slot on 5th March with further screenings March 6th and 8th. Click here for our programme listing.

‘My Feral Heart’ is one of only five British Films selected (others include ‘Eye in the Sky’ starring the late Alan Rickman & Dame Helen Mirren and Terence Davies’ ‘Sunset Song’) so we are in exceptional company. With that and the buzz generated each year by it’s Maverick Spirit Award, Cinequest is a wonderful platform to introduce our film to the world and kick-start our festival run.

Previous winners of the Maverick Spirit Award include: Harrison Ford, J.J. Abrams, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Ben Kingsley, Kevin Spacey & Sir Ian McKellen to name just a few. James Franco (127 Hours) and Rita Moreno (West Side Story) are to be honoured this year.

We will of course keep you updated as to further news and updates here and on Social Media, thank you again for your continuing support…
